Our Mission Statement

We, the Community Unitarian Universalists in Brighton (CUUB) provide an environment in which individuals and families seek spiritual growth and find intellectual stimulation. We celebrate life and its daily challenges, welcome and support diversity, and actively work to improve our communities. We encourage each other to follow ethical paths as responsible human beings, applying the principles of tolerance, justice and democracy.

Principles of the Unitarian Universalist Association

We the member congregations of the Unitarian Universalist Association, covenant to affirm and promote:

• The inherent dignity and worth of every person;
• Justice, equity and compassion in human relations;
• Acceptance of one another and encouragement to Spiritual growth in our congregations
• A free and responsible search for truth and meaning;
• The right of conscience and the use of the democratic Process within our congregations and in society at large;
• The goal of a world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all;
• Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part
