When you shop with online retailers, you can help CUUB earn money from your purchases without any additional cost to you! Simply using the GoodShop program allows you to select us as your cause of choice. Follow this link and type out our full name: Community Unitarian Universalists in Brighton. Then, log into GoodShop before you shop online - the retailers list is extensive - and CUUB will receive credit for your purchases. You can also search with GoodSearch and give CUUB a small credit for each search you perform. We've earned almost $300 so far, and it's free!  |

Meijer Gift cards are available every Sunday during the coffee hour after the service. You buy the cards at face value and spend them like cash for in-store and gas purchases at any Meijer location. CUUB receives 4% back on all cards sold, at no cost to our members and friends. In the first 18 months of this program, the CUUB treasury has netted $1560. If you would like to support CUUB in this way find the table on the South wall of the social room or look for a person with the clipboard. |

Are you wondering what service to offer? Here are some examples of great services provided at past Service Auctions: Share your Vacation Memories over Dessert, Host a Theme Dinner, Share your passion (bread baking, gardening, yoga, quilting, knitting, music lessons, airplane rides, etc.), Host a Wine tasting event, Cook an Ethnic Dinner, Babysit, Pet sit, Provide trips to the Airport. You may also ask your favorite retailer for a donation to our auction. Mark this date on your calendar and make plans to be there! Bring your checkbook! This is always a fun and fund-raising event for CUUB!
Lunch and childcare will be provided during CUUB's Service Auction. Start pulling out your creativity for an amazing Service Auction!
Reverse Auction: Also, do you have a service that you need performed? Do you need painting done? Pet sitting? A ride to the airport? A task on your project list that just won't go away? Once again, CUUB will be incorporating a Reverse Auction into the annual spring fundraiser, allowing you to make your service needs known. Send your service requests to Lee Ren at

along with the amount you will donate to CUUB if another CUUBie performs that service for you. (Example: Fix my doorknobs! Jim and Mary will pay $150 to CUUB and pay the cost of hardware for someone to replace the knobs on two doors in their home.) A list of the Reverse Auction items will be circulated to the membership, if received prior to the auction. The first person who agrees to perform the requested service wins the bid and agrees to donate his/her service. Contact Lee to place your bids. A submission form is attached. Any Reverse Auction items not bid on by May 4th will be put up for bid at the Service Auction on May 5th. Those requesting the service agree to provide or pay for any needed supplies and donate the stated amount to CUUB. The 2012 Reverse Auction was a smashing success ($500 earned)! Let's keep the momentum going and get those projects off your to-do list! |
